Absa Cape Epic
It's often described as the toughest mountain bike race on Earth… Top contenders from around the world regard it as the Tour de France of mountain biking… Most of the world’s best mountain bikers come to South Africa to take part in it… And this year they've brought it to your doorstep: the Absa Cape Epic will take to the slopes of Table Mountain so that you can be a part of all the action!
Now in its sixth year, the Absa Cape Epic is an eight-day mountain biking stage race that attracts the best of the best – world champions, Olympic medalists and elite athletes from South Africa and around the globe. On Saturday the 21st of March, 1200 riders will be racing along the trails above the Mother City on a 19km 'prologue' time trial before spending another seven days on challenging courses through some of the Western Cape's most stunning scenery, ending at Lourensford Estate near Somerset West.
Leaping Frog was asked to design the look and feel for both the Ride Guide, which was completed as a supplement to Ride magazine, as well as the Spectator Guide, the booklet for the onlookers.
